Crossroads is in search of a godly, called and qualified candidate to be our next Worship & Media Pastor. This person will be responsible for creating a team-based ministry that is able to facilitate inspiring, life giving Christ centered environments where worship team members and the congregation can  grow in their relationship with the Lord through worship and media. Job Description:

Reports To: Paul Bernard, Lead Pastor 

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Worship Pastor
    1. Take primary responsibility to lead our congregation in worship on Sunday mornings.
    2. Lead and mentor worship leaders and teams to worship God in song and word.
    3. Manage the sound system and tech team.
    4. Manage the lighting team and stage lighting.
  2. Media Pastor
    1. Manage and lead a team that focuses on streaming and pastoring our online campus.
  3. Video and Graphics
    1. Create digital and print media for events, power points and signs.
    2. Film and edit video content for announcements, sermon openers, events or promotions.
  4. App development
    1. Update and maintain the Crossroads App.
    2. Work with PushPay to utilize best practices regarding donor development.
  5. Oversee:
    1. The platform team that meets for Christmas and Easter or any major event.
    2. Internet (IT) at the church.

PURPOSE

This position is responsible for all of the production, branding and social media of the church. This pastor will make sure that all images produced on paper, internet, video and graphic arts are consistent in logo, color and branding. Is responsible for consistency of organic branding throughout the campuses based on the leadership of each campus.  

Directly pastoring and developing the Video Team, Worship Team and any others that volunteer for production. This position is also responsible for creating and maintaining content online for the website, Facebook, YouTube, Boxcast, Roku, Vimeo and Livestream.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
To make the vision of the lead pastor come to life visually, audibly and physically through the use of technology and human resources. To pastor the congregation and those he comes in contact with. 

 

RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Maintain a close personal relationship with Jesus Christ that includes daily prayer, scripture reading and personal development. 
  • Communicate and follow up weekly with Worship Leaders, Video Production Volunteers and staff regarding the weekend services. 
  • Produce Video content for announcements, video messages, testimony videos, Worship Videos and sermon openers. 
  • Work with Worship Team to write worship music and develop new writers.
  • Maintain and develop a NEW Website and update the content as needed
  • Update the Crossroads Bigfork App weekly.
  • Upload the Worship Service to Facebook, YouTube, Boxcast, Vimeo, Roku and the home page
  • Upload and maintain the PODCAST on SoundCloud 
  • Make all of the graphics for upcoming service and announcements 
  • Work with Tim Torgerson to make sure that the sound system is working properly, and the sound team is scheduled for the service. 
  • Work with the Video team to make sure they are scheduled and have the tools to do their job with proficiency.  
  • Oversee the PowerPoint Team to make sure they are scheduled and ready to click on the weekend or any other events. 
  • Maintain the lighting for the stage and make sure that the lighting is in good working order, repairs happen and plans for new lighting are in place.
  • Maintain the Video Projectors in the sanctuary.  
  • Lead Worship or play in the worship band 3 weeks a month
  • Maintain the internet connection and data security at the church and oversee the IT department.
  • Develop and oversee the production of outside events including Easter, Christmas and any other special event we produce.  
  • Occasionally take and develop teams to minister in Rwanda. 
  • Use Songwriting as a training and development tool with the worship team and anyone in the church that feels led to write songs. After the launch at the camp in September, we will meet every other week as songwriters (Small Group Songwriting).

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • A life of service in these areas.  

WORK ARRANGEMENT

  • Work on site unless needed off site for ministry functions. This position will maintain a schedule on the Google calendar for Paul to view at any time. When there are events this position will be flexible with the schedule to make sure that the event is produced professionally. Week to week the hours in the office may shift based on the needs and requirements of the task at hand.

  • Devoted to the heart of the ministry at Crossroads Christian Fellowship, leading and encouraging the spiritual community to engage in inreach, (Love others – pastoral care of the saints), and outreach (make disciples).
  • An experienced and suitably gifted Spiritual Formation ministry leader who is able to teach and direct others
  • An experienced and capable administrator and motivator of people, helping them discover their identity, capacity and destiny. 
  • A person who conducts themselves in a way that is consistent with the biblical values of “affirmation, involvement and servant leadership”.
  • A proven successful track record in a directly related ministry

  

The Word of God

This person shall:

  • Conduct themselves in a way that is ethically, morally and spiritually pursuant to the heart of God as recorded in Scripture and understood and practiced at Crossroads Christian Fellowship.
  • Teach or allow to be taught only that which reflects God’s heart as lived out in Christ and reflected in Scripture.

Financial responsibilities

  • This person is submitted to the leadership of Crossroads Christian Fellowship and will operate within the God-given confines of authority granted by Crossroads Christian Fellowship and live within the financial spending plan.

Treatment of Staff, Spiritual Community and the Public

This person shall:

  • Make sure to provide safe and heart honoring conditions, procedures, or decisions that provide appropriate confidentiality or privacy.  
  • Ensure the safety of God’s people by making sure that all who are engaged in leadership at Crossroads Christian Fellowship have passed a staff screening process, which shall include a Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Accountability in this relationship is mutual. The Lead Pastor is accountable to all Ministry Leaders/Staff for providing the authorization, resources, affirmation, involvement and servant leadership required for the successful realization of the responsibilities of the position. 
  • All Ministry Leaders/Staff are accountable to the Lead Pastor for performance with respect to the negotiated expectations of the position within the limitations of authority of the position and for behavior consistent with the values of affirmation, involvement and servant leadership.
