Week 14: The Throne Room of Heaven Pt. 2

1/11/2026 - Paul Bernard

Individual/Small Group Study

  1. Revelation 4:5 includes thunder, lightning, and voices from the throne—how do these elements, also seen in Exodus 19:16–19 and Ezekiel 1:13, communicate the awe-inspiring holiness of God?

  2. What might the sea of glass in Revelation 4:6 symbolize about God’s purity, majesty, or the separation between Creator and creation?

  3. How do the four living creatures in Revelation 4:6–8 compare to the visions in Ezekiel 1 and Isaiah 6, and what do their constant praise and watchful eyes teach us about worship and spiritual awareness?

  4. What can we learn from the fact that the living creatures never stop saying, “Holy, holy, holy”? How might this call us to worship with greater consistency and reverence?

  5. The elders cast their crowns before God’s throne in Revelation 4:10—how does this act, along with Philippians 2:9–11, illustrate true humility and surrender of all honor back to God? What are your crowns?

  6. Revelation 4:11 says that God is worthy because He created all things—how does this truth challenge the way we value creation, purpose, and worship in our own lives?
