Following His voice is not for the faint of heart!

Good morning men!  Welcome to day 14!  I’m proud of your commitment to grow in Christ with this simple devotional!

Please join with me in prayer: Lord, this is the day that You have made!  I will rejoice!  I put ‘my will’ in surrender mode and proclaim, ‘Your Will be done’ today in every decision I make!  Amen!

Another phrase that Pastor Paul emphasized at the retreat is this: God’s voice has to come to the top in your life!  You’re supposed to lead; you’re called to lead.  His voice must be heard.  His voice must be followed.  David was the first man out.  The king and all the other soldiers were waiting.  For what?  They probably didn’t even know.  Forty days of taunting from a giant took everything out of them.  Just like the enemy is trying to do to each one of us!

To be the first man out requires pausing every day to hear His voice with a heart to obey!

This verse about Caleb always inspires me.  “But as for My servant Caleb, because he has had a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring him into the land which he entered, and his descendants shall take possession of it!”  (Numbers 14:24)  Courage in the face of giants!  This is the Spirit of God in a man.  This is what God wants of every one of us!

Fear spreads like wildfire, but so does courage.  When your ‘tip’ is sharp, you will be the one that God uses to open a way for those who do not have courage!

My prayer for today: Lord, let me hear Your voice.  Grant me the courage to follow You fully!  I want to experience Your Spirit in me, and also what Caleb and Joshua knew: “Those giants will be food for us!”  Numbers 14:9 Amen!
