Sunday Serve Teams help create a welcoming, organized, and hospitable environment where people can gather, connect, and worship together. From the moment someone arrives to the time they leave, these teams serve behind the scenes and on the front lines to help make Sunday mornings run smoothly and ensure that everyone feels welcomed and cared for. Serving on Sunday is a simple way to use your gifts to love our church family and help create space for people to encounter Christ.
Connections - Pastor Andrew
Pastor Andrew oversees our Sunday Serve Teams, helping equip and encourage each team as they serve our church family. He works to create a culture of hospitality, excellence, and joyful service so that every person who walks through our doors feels welcomed and cared for.
USHERS
Our Ushers help create a welcoming and orderly environment on Sunday mornings. From helping people find seats and assisting with special needs to helping the service run smoothly, they are attentive to the practical details that allow our church family to worship together without distraction. They also help provide the elements when we partake in communion!
HOSPITALITY
Our Hospitality Team helps make the Crossroads lobby a place where people feel welcomed, connected, and at home. Every Sunday, our volunteers serve coffee, cookies, and plenty of smiles as they create opportunities for fellowship and connection. Despite the amount of people moving through our lobby each week, this team helps make room for new faces, meaningful conversations, and old friends catching up. We serve with happy hearts, a little caffeine, and a desire to live out Jesus’ words: “I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.” — Matthew 25:35
GREETERS
Our Greeters are often the first friendly face people encounter on a Sunday morning. They welcome everyone who walks through our doors, hand out bulletins, and help create an atmosphere where people feel seen and at home. With a faithful team of volunteers serving at both our indoor and outdoor services, our Greeters count it a joy and a privilege to welcome our church family each week. Whether you’ve been coming to Crossroads for years or it’s your first Sunday, our Greeters are ready to welcome you with a smile.
GUEST SERVICES
Our Guest Services Team helps create a warm and welcoming first impression for everyone who comes to Crossroads. While we especially look out for newcomers, our goal is to welcome everyone, answer questions, and help people feel at home from the moment they arrive.
Whether it’s showing someone where to find coffee, children’s registration, or the restrooms, answering a question, or introducing a newcomer to a staff member, elder, or someone with similar interests, our team looks for simple ways to help people connect. It’s a joy to serve alongside the many volunteers who help make Sunday mornings at Crossroads a welcoming place for all.
