Laziness is the result of focusing on the wrong thing!

Good morning, men!  Welcome to day 15!

To get started, let’s pray this together: Lord, I want to have Your Spirit active and working in my spirit.  Energize Your Spirit inside of me so I will look at every situation with faith!  Amen!

The land is exceedingly good–confirmed unanimously by all twelve of the spies.  And here is the fruit!  Two people carrying one cluster of grapes, which is still a symbol of Israel today.  And don’t forget that all twelve agreed that there were giants in the land, too.  But here is not only the crux of this matter, but it could be the crux of almost every matter.  When faced with a dream, desire, or a promise of God, with obstacles in the path, what do you look at?

In a sense, I believe this is the very point of our spear!  The sharp tip of our spear looks at absolutely everything with eyes of faith, focusing on the result and not on the obstacles.  Yes, the giants are real.  Yes, we have battles in front of us!   But what are we going to do?  What are we going to say?

Focus on our capacity and the strength of the giants, resulting in laziness and being stuck. Or focus on God’s promises, believing in faith that He has removed their protection, and go out with courage?  It all depends on where we focus our attention!  Focus on the price to be paid, or focus on the outcome we desire!

This is the dividing line between rebellion and faith, the price to be paid or the outcome everyone wants!  “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it!”  Numbers 13:30

Laziness produces fruit too!  But it’s not the fruit that will remain!

My prayer for today: Lord, help me to reverse my laziness by obsessing over Your promises!  Help me to gladly pay the cost to follow You, because I get You, my True Promise land, forever!  Amen!
