TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT
The race does not always go to the swift, but to those who keep running!
Good morning sir!
Welcome to day 15! Two weeks and counting! Thanks for staying with me! Join me in prayer: “Lord, I thank You for this day! Let the person of the Holy Spirit mingle with my spirit, for the race set before me cannot be run in my own strength. For it is only You that can truly untangle me with the weights of my past so I can faithfully keep running the race You have marked out for me! Amen!
Do you remember Pastor Paul when he told us about allowing the enemy little opportunities. Where we say in our rational minds, wait a second, that’s not wrong. Or, that’s not that big of a deal! Or, what’s the big problem with that? Etc.
This is allowing Satan just enough access to your life, where you’ve given up on the small things enough and often enough, that the enemy has poisoned your heart.”
And it is in those small things, those small sins, those small compromises, that ‘so easily entangle us.’ Hebrews 12:1. And this Greek word means to ‘thwart you in all directions!’ And that is exactly what Satan wants - to thwart you in every direction so you are rendered ineffective for the Kingdom of God!’
Lord, Jesus, I will show up for my Kingdom race today! I will cut off every compromising sin that is trying to thwart me in every Kingdom direction, by confession and forgiveness! I will throw off every weight that tries to attach itself to me, through repentance and restitution. So I will, with constancy, run Your Kingdom race, with ‘cheerful endurance!’ Amen!
