Becoming the Man God's Future Requires

Good morning, sir!  

Welcome to day nine!  By now, you've probably felt just how deep some of those ruts run. But you're here, and that tells me you want a fresh connection with the Holy Spirit! I love that!

Please pray with me: Lord, when I look at my behavior, I sometimes feel embarrassed. But I'm so thankful we're not on a behavior-modification course. We're on a journey of revelation! Open my spirit to drink Your living water. Open my spiritual eyes to see who I am in Your eyes, and align my heart with that identity! In Jesus' name, amen! 

Pastor Paul masterfully taught us what it means to be a truly strong man. And it's so different from what our culture celebrates! Strength isn't independence, control, achievement, or power over others. 

True strength is found in first seeing who we are in Christ, then surrendering ourselves completely to Him and living in His strength.

Jesus demonstrated this through voluntary submission to His Father, sacrificial love, and obedience even unto death! (Philippians 2:5–8)

Just today, I read this verse:  “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast…” (Hebrews 6:19)

Your soul (psyche) isn't anchored in your performance. It's anchored in His promise! This gives us the courage to confess sin, receive correction, seek godly counsel, love sacrificially, and lead without needing to dominate!

The measure of a strong man, then, isn't how much he can control, but how completely he trusts the One to whom he has surrendered control!

Let's close with this prayer:  Lord, You've given me a new day. I desire to be a strong man today—not through my own strength, but in trusting You completely!  Keep my heart soft and teachable. My hope and trust are anchored in You alone, and that's what makes me strong today! Amen!
