Greater Things Update: 10/14/2026
Hey Church!
Well, the sewer relocation is going great! You'll see a 27 foot trench where the new sewer line is being installed. While this construction area is barricaded with fencing, please keep an eye on your kiddos for their safety.
We're hoping to have the diesel pumps and temporary piping removed either by the end of this week or early next week. At that point we will switch over to the new sewer line and can begin removing the old one.
Parking this Sunday should look similar to last weekend. The connector road is currently inaccessible so please do not use that road right now. The east lot is open and has plenty of parking. Please keep the parking spots closest to the church reserved for those with mobility issues. We really appreciate your help with this.
Thank you all for your patience and continued prayers. As we settle into this new world of construction, we are reminded that God has this project in His hands and we trust Him with every step.
Please reach out if you have any questions, we are always here and available.
Have a great week everybody, and we'll see you Sunday!

Hey Church Family! WOW! We've seen some big changes around here. It's amazing to see the project develop right before our eyes.
This past week we’ve been moving a lot of dirt over to the east lot. This raised the parking lot 3 feet and is now ready to be compacted and graveled. The huge holes you see are the first steps of the new sewer line. This stage of the project starts today and should last 2 weeks. You'll see up to 30 foot holes around the site while the new pipes and manholes are installed. Once this stage of the project is complete, the old line will be removed.
Thank you all for your patience this past Sunday! We should see some improvements to parking this weekend with more available spots open in the new east parking lot.
The weather forecast for Sunday isn't great, so the outdoor service may not be open. We will know more as we get closer to Sunday.
Please try to save the parking spots along the east and west walls of the church for our elderly and folks with mobility issues. See the parking map below for a reminder of what to expect.
Thank you Crossroads! Have a great week and we'll see you Sunday.

It's official! The project has begun!
We are so thankful for the hard work that brought us to this point. A huge thank you to our project manager, Frank, our builder, Trent, and our excavator, Kevin, for navigating us through the permitting process. They have worked diligently behind the scenes, and we appreciate their efforts.
The first step of the project will be to move the existing sewer line away from the footprint of the new building. This process should take around 6 weeks. During this stage we'll dig a new line while temporarily rerouting the sewer system with an external diesel pump. Once the new line is ready, we will switch to the new system and remove the old line.
Starting this Sunday, there will be no driving access between the east and west parking lots. We encourage using the back entrance behind Buzz 'n Bagels since we anticipate the front parking lot along Highway 35 will fill up quickly.
The main entrance lobby doors will still be accessible for church on Sundays.
Please bear with us as we navigate the new construction area. We are doing our best to get ahead of changes and will communicate as things come up.
Please continue to join us in praying over this project!
Thank you God for the work you're doing here at Crossroads. We pray that we continue to move and act in line with your will for our church. We trust you with this project and thank you for all you've done to provide for us up to this point.
This is an exciting time, church! More updates to come!

Hallelujah! We have our permits! By God's perfect timing we now have all of our building permits in hand and are ready to start the project! The anticipated start date is September 8th, beginning with the sewer line relocation. We're ready to see that equipment at work!
Yesterday we had a great message from the pulpit with a full fundraising and project update: Watch Here
We are so excited to be doing this with you, our church family. Thank you for your prayers, your faithfulness, your generosity, and your partnership.
More updates to come!

Hey church! A quick update on the building project. As you can see we have not made any progress in a few weeks. We are just as ready as you are to see those machines moving! Just to answer a few questions: First, we are NOT paying any extra costs to have the equipment parked on site. Second, we thought the DEQ process was over, but they came back and requested a few more details. As anyone who has worked with the DEQ knows, this type of setback happens and the process can be drawn-out. But, we have a great team working on it and have provided all the requested information. Now we are just waiting for that final green light. We hope it will be very soon and will keep you posted as we know more.
Thank you for your continued support and prayers!

Wow, what a beautiful day and week! We’re getting so excited around here. There are a LOT of moving parts and I’m having a hard time juggling it all, but it’s really thrilling. I just met with our Building Team and things are continuing to move forward with our Greater Things Building Project! Our DEQ Permit is on track and the equipment is on sight (thank you for all those prayers!)
We’re seeing the unofficial start of the project today, but the OFFICIAL LAUNCH of our Crossroads Building Project is scheduled for July 6!
Our amazing women’s ministry leader here at Crossroads, Brenda Chadwick, reached out to me recently over email and said something really profound about this new building. She likened it to the stories from Abraham and Noah and talked about our study in Revelation really opening our eyes to the times that we are in. Abraham and Noah both saw the things that were coming and prepared. Our church (the current building and the new one) have such an amazing opportunity to be a city on the hill for whatever the days ahead hold.
His,
Pastor Paul
